Hello everyone! Fenfabrication has announced that they will be producing an adapter for the intercooler to charge pipe connection. This will allow 2025+ Explorer ST owners to swap out their cold side charge pipe for a Fenfab unit (other brands unknown if compatible with the adapter) without having to also swap out the intercooler and hot side charge pipes also.
2025+ Explorer ST’s have an different intercooler to charge pipe connections compared to the older years, and the aftermarket never released updated intercooler and charge pipes for the 2025+ cars, continuing to only offer the 2020-24 connection styles. This meant before this adapter was released if you wanted to swap out the cold side charge pipe for an aftermarket unit with a port to accommodate an BOV, you also had to get an intercooler and hot side charge pipes. That meant adding just a simple BOV and cold side charge pipe was a $1,500+ venture.
The adapter retails for $26 at time of writing, which is very reasonable considering how much you will be saving. Note that if you want to upgrade your intercooler you still need the cold and hot side charge pipes as the connections for the charge pipes to intercooler would be swapped, and the adapter would therefore not work.
