Powertrain

EVAP Purge Valve

Cause: Overfilling fuel tank

Symptoms: Not starting after filling up, codes for evaporative system

Fix: Replace EVAP Purge Valve

AWD Module

Symptoms: Lots of codes such as “Service advance-trac”

Fix: Recall; reground AWD module

Front Axle Disconnect Actuator Leak (FADA)

Symptoms: Leaking near front axle

Fix: Recall, delete it FADA

Front Half-shaft Tear

Symptoms: Grease all over front wheels

Fix: Replace front half-shafts

Funky Transmission Behavior

Symptoms: Weird, clunky transmission shifting

Fix: Top off transmission fluid, clear automatic transmission learning

Bad Turbo Seals

Symptoms: White smoke upon cold starts out of exhaust

Fix: Replace turbos

Interior

Sunroof Leaking

Symptoms: Puddle of water on front passenger seat floor

Fix: Clear sunroof drains, push down cowling above hood

Sunroof Shade Falling Off Rails

Symptoms: Sunroof shade falling off rails

Fix: Replace shade (Ford (lb5z78519a02ab))

Touchscreen Upside Down

Symptoms: Touchscreen upside down

Fix: Restart Sync3 system by pressing rewind button and stereo on/off button; update system

Blue Screen Camera

Symptoms: Blue screen

Fix: Recall (replace camera and reprogram)

Car going into “Deep Sleep” Often

Symptoms: FordPass features not available, FordPass alerting vehicle is in “Deep Sleep”

Fix: Replace Battery

Window Switches Peeling

Symptoms: Windows switches peeling

Fix: Replace

Suspension / Drivetrain

Rear Bolt Fracture

Symptoms: Rear bolt fracture, differential hanging freely, audible horrible clunking/snapping

Real Preventative Measure: Get a diff brace!

Ford’s preventative measure: automatic rear parking brake when placed in park, updated bushing, updated tune on 2025 vehicles

Leaking Shocks

Symptoms: Leaking shocks

Fix: Replace shocks

Clunking from Front Suspension

Symptoms: Clunking from front suspension

Fix: Replace front struts/strut mounts

Exhaust

Downpipe Weld Crack

Symptoms: Egg smell, visible cracking

Fix: Replace downpipe

Exhaust Weld Breaking

Symptoms: Exhaust falling apart

Fix: Simple JB weld, replace with full exhaust system

Flex Pipe Rattle

Symptoms: Flex Pipe Rattle

Fix: Recall/TSB for updated flex pipes; replace with aftermarket units
