Pedal Covers
Coming in around $22 at time of writing, pedal covers are probably the most popular cheap, fun modification.
Windshield Wiper Delete
The 6th-generation Ford Explorer has a beautiful, sleek profile. The rear windshield wiper delete caters to that look, and takes away the unsightly rear windshield wiper. Houston Speed Freaks brought the ultimate windshield wiper delete to the market. This windshield wiper delete is so flush and transparent, it looks like it isn’t even there. For those people who may be worried about the rear visibility loss due to no wiper in the rear, if you use a good waxing cleaning spray, the water will just run down not hindering visibility at all.
Emblem Removal
Free mod! Removing the front “EXPLORER” emblems and rear “ST” emblem, depending on one’s taste, may clean up the car. It is quite easy to do, just follow these steps:
- Use a heat gun or hair drier to melt the adhesive
- Use fishing line or floss to get behind the emblem and work it off. Be patient, and make sure the adhesive is heated up enough for the emblem to come off easily
- Wipe of the remaining adhesive with Goo Goo Gone or similar product
- Done!
Hitch Cover
There are a few different hitch covers available, the most expensive one’s ranging around $300+. There are cheaper options closer to $30 however, and they are a neat little touch, and plus they hide the hitch.
Rear LED Lighting Upgrade
The halogen rear light setup on the 2020-24 Explorer ST’s are sad and cheap looking. The reverse lights that come stock are horrific. You are better off riding the brake so you can at least see. I highly recommend Houston Speeds Freaks LED light upgrade bundle. The turn signal and license plate LED upgrade clean up the night-time look, and the reverse lights are brighter than most headlights. The LED lights are of great quality and have an great warranty. Definitely worth the price.
